Bard/Fighter Multiclass
First Thoughts: Lots of different ways to do this mechanically. There’s a few bard subclasses that may sound like good ideas but will hinder you in the long run.
Flavor wise, fighter always seems easy and is usually hand waved as anyone who fights. But generally it’s hard to actually MC into and give good justification for.
-What does it take to be a Bard?
-Strength Bards
-Valor and Swords aren’t actually great with this combo
-Is a Bard REALLY a full caster?
-You can’t ignore your spell casting with this. It’s still integral to the bard class even with Fighter added
-Lore Bard can help you tank with Cutting Words

-Purple Dragon Knight sucks. But why does it suck?
-Echo Knight works, Eldritch Knight not so much
-College of Swords and Valor just ain’t great here.
-Slowing down Spell Slot Progression is a bit of a bummer here
-Arcane Archer may work as a ranged bard
-Monster of the Week: Sphinxes
-Creatures that test you through riddles and challenges and if you fail THEN they attack
-When would you fight it? When can you turn away from a riddle?
-Ways to set up the encounter
-Need to have other options to get this info. If the characters fail then it could be campaign over otherwise
-Set up where the BBEG needs the info from the Sphinx so the party kills the Sphinx before the BBEG can get to it

-Ask M&M: When is the Artificer Artillerist's Protector Eldritch Canon worthwhile to use
-Does the Temp HP Healing scale? (no)
-Since it works on multiple creatures it can give a lot of temp HP per turn
-Probably best to use once you have the second canon at 15th level
-It has a lot of flavor potential as well
-Next time, Paladin/Ranger and Liches!
